Delia’s Threads carries the Blaan tradition forward. Our founder trained under a master of Blaan design, and every heritage piece is crafted by hand in that lineage — from the beadwork to the handwoven cloth. These are not costumes stamped from a factory pattern; they are made to order, one at a time, the way they have always been made.

What’s in a Blaan Set

A complete Blaan woman’s costume is an assembly of distinct handmade pieces, each with its own name and craft:

• Albong — the ornate beaded blouse, the signature of the set, decorated with fine beadwork or mother-of-pearl.
• Tabih — the handwoven abaca tube skirt, patterned on a traditional loom.
• Slah — the beaded necklace.
• Sabitan — the beaded belt.
• Ulel — the beaded earrings that complete the look.

Every piece is attributed to the tradition it comes from — accuracy is part of the craft.

Each Blaan set is made to order and can be tailored to size. Because these are handmade heritage pieces, we recommend inquiring early — especially ahead of Blaan Day (July), Buwan ng Wika (August), and festival and school-program season.
